Great effort in league loss

The Whitman-Hanson girls basketball team lost a league battle to Duxbury 50-44. The Panthers are now 9-6, 6-3 in the league. Leading the way for the Panthers was Brittney Porter with 14 points. MacKenzie Hatfield added 10 points. The defensive effort on Duxbury's leading scorer was Michela North was outstanding as she was held to 14 points.  The team played extremely hard.  Duxbury's first quarter 9-0 run to close out the first quarter ended up being the decisive spurt in the game as the Panthers were unable to climb back.

Another big league game is at home on Friday when the Panthers host the Hingham Harborwomen.  The Panthers won the first meeting in a close 34-30 game.
