The Whitman-Hanson girls basketball team (6-2, 5-0 Patriot) defeated Silver Lake 57-38. The defensive plan to stop one of the league's top scorers Courtney Yost was performed magnificently by Alyssa Eaton. Yost finished with only 4 points (2 offensive rebound put backs) and sat the bench for many minutes in foul trouble due to Yost's fouls over Alyssa on boxouts. MacKenzie Hatfield led the Panthers in scoring with 14 points. Cassie Chernicki had 11 points, Abby Trapp and Marina Kelly each added 10 in this important league matchup. The Panthers made nine 3-pointers in the win by four different players.
